Frequently Asked Questions

What defines the SERAPOOL Pool & Spa collection?

SERAPOOL is defined by porcelain pool and spa surfaces designed for submerged, wet, and performance-driven environments, along with coordinated pieces for transitions, edges, and specialized details.

Where are products from SERAPOOL used most often?

SERAPOOL products are used in pool interiors, waterlines, spas, wet decks, entries, steps, and other areas where durability, water resistance, and system coordination matter.

Why is pool tile different from standard interior tile?

Pool tile must perform in wet, submerged, and chemically exposed environments. That makes product suitability, setting materials, edge coordination, and installation method especially important.

Does SERAPOOL porcelain typically need sealing?

In most cases, the porcelain surface itself does not require sealing. Maintenance needs may still depend on grout, installation details, and long-term pool care practices.

Are coordinated edge and specialty pieces important in pool projects?

Yes. Pool projects often require more than field tile alone. Coordinated edges, transitions, step details, and specialized accessories help the full installation perform and look more complete.

Should pool and spa projects be planned as a full system rather than as individual pieces?

Yes. Pool and spa installations usually perform best when tile, trims, transitions, edge pieces, and installation methods are considered together rather than selected one by one in isolation.

Advanced Questions About This Collection

Why is pool and spa tile different from interior tile selection?

Pool and spa tile must perform in submerged, chemically exposed, and constantly wet environments. That makes system planning, product suitability, and installation details far more critical than in standard dry interior applications.

Why should pool tile be planned as a full system?

Because performance depends not just on the field tile, but also on edge pieces, transitions, step details, corners, and installation methods. A coordinated system reduces visual and technical problems later.

What kind of project is SERAPOOL best suited for?

SERAPOOL is well suited for residential and commercial pool interiors, waterlines, spas, wet decks, entries, and related wet-area environments where performance and detail coordination matter.

Why are specialty edge and transition pieces so important in pool design?

They help the installation perform cleanly across steps, entries, infinity edges, corners, and perimeter transitions. In pool work, these pieces are often essential rather than optional.

What is the biggest mistake people make when selecting pool tile?

Treating the project like a regular tile installation instead of a performance environment. Pool tile selection should always account for submerged use, project detailing, and the full installation system.

Why is porcelain such a strong material for pool and spa use?

Porcelain is often chosen because of its durability, low water absorption, and suitability for wet environments when the correct collection and installation system are used.

Spanish Brick — Ceramic Brick Mosaic Wall Tile Collection

← Back to TERRACRAFT — Ceramic Collection

Spanish Brick is a ceramic wall mosaic collection that brings the warmth of a brick-inspired surface into a cleaner, more refined wall finish. Each 14×14 sheet is designed with a pre-cut brick surface detail, so once installed and grouted, the wall reads dimensional: subtle from a distance, rich up close.

Part of ArtePierre’s TERRACRAFT Ceramic Collection, Spanish Brick is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, shower walls, powder rooms, bar backsplashes, niches, and feature walls where you want texture and rhythm without a busy pattern.

For the intended finished look, grout both the joints between sheets and the pre-cut lines on the face of the tile. This step reveals the brick texture and gives the surface its full architectural character.

Design notes for Spanish Brick

  • Grout completes the look: grout both the sheet joints and the pre-cut surface lines to reveal the brick texture.
  • Grout color changes the mood: matching grout reads calmer, while gentle contrast sharpens the brick rhythm.
  • Matte finish: creates a softer, less reflective surface than glossy ceramic tile.
  • Lighting matters: under-cabinet lighting, sconces, and vanity lighting highlight the dimensional surface.
  • Sheet alignment matters: keep sheets aligned and consistent because small shifts are more noticeable in linear brick mosaics.

Order samples before your project

Spanish Brick can shift visually depending on lighting, grout color, cabinetry, countertops, paint, and surrounding finishes. Samples help you compare color, matte texture, grout direction, and scale before ordering full project quantities.
